Do not know if the problem using cheap oil because of the margins is a worldwide issue.

In the margins i meant back of beyond...if its difficult where all the employees live and get their cars serviced etc...its going to be impossible out in the sticks! Mike

I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

I should have been more specific in my first post. My bad.. Im a new in town. This is my nr. 3 RRS. But the first with the DPF. System.

The first thing i notice was that it´s dosen`t sound as god as the V8 without the DPF. System.. And since my driving is like 70 % In town - Im having the message on my dash every 2 week´s. And that is very annoying..

So do any of you believe if i mounted a different exhaust system on the car with out the DPF. It would work just as one with out the DPF. System.. _____________________________

Sorry i can't answer your question but what i would do is take you motor for a good run down the motorway at 4000 rpm in what ever gear it allows for you to keep within the speed limit. Maybe a 15 minute run in each direction down the motorway, thats what i did with mine. It cleared the fault light in about 8 minutes but i kept going to get the exhaust nice an hot. Ive not had the light on since but i have also been doing quite a bit of motoway driving recently so it will be clearing itself anyway. Wink

Hej Ady - Just did that today - And it did help on the problem right away.. But it could be nice to get rid of the problem for god. Since i don't have time to run and down the back straight to cure the issue.. Rolling Eyes Big Cry

Yes can be removed. The DPF needs physically removing from the car. Then the ECU needs removing and programming to tell it that one isn't fitted.

Quite a few places can do this. Google DPF removal Smile Voids all warranty etc. 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE

After an extensive search I had the DPF removed by the good people of Digicar in the Netherlands.

Before the removal my car went into limp mode regularly, possibilities of tuning the engine were very limited because ECU alterations would cause more 'blackouts'.

I highly recommend it. RRS TDV8 Alaska White,Remap, JE exhaust,DPF Removed
