United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

"Currently the combination of diesel and LPG may cause great increases in power output and mechanical problems. We therefore do not convert diesel run vehicles. However should a system be proven to run efficiently and be mechanically reliable with the same environmental benefits, then LPG Conversions Limited will carry out the relevant checks before agreeing to carry out installations"

As taken from top LPG converters web site. Whistle I believe bio gas is the conversion used for diesels which is something different and mostly made from s-h-I-t-e and household waste so methane basically. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈

Well it seems despite my (and others) scepticism the MPG is genuinely improved.

Just calculated the actual consumption over a 360 odd mile trip at the weekend using the time-honoured method of brimming the tank at the beginning of the journey, re-setting the trip meter and then brimming the tank again at the end of the trip.

And the answer is....... 26.54 MPG which compares favourably with the 21.6 MPG the car was returning before the MAP cleaning and adding Millers magic additive.

The computer dash display of average MPG was pretty constant at 29.0 to 28.8 which again compares favourably with previous average readings of about 23.5, but proving once again that the computer is a bit optimistic.

The journey was almost all motorway and 'A' roads so just cruising at 70 - 75 (we weren't in a hurry) with no hold ups at all.
I was hoping for slightly better economy but then I was with my mate who is bit of a lard-arse so I'm blaming him for the slightly worse economy!

Interesting. Will be trying out for sure and report back 07 TDV8 + BAS map

I'm just checking Paddi

Did you mean you cleaned the MAF sensors?

I'm not sure what a MAP sensor is.

I'm going to buy some MAF cleaning spray this weekend and give mine a blast. RRS gone

AWD - no it was the MAP sensors (manifold absolute pressure). Planning to clean the MAF sensors (mass air flow) too but so far failed to find out how to get them out Rolling with laughter If you figure it out please post how you did it. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Thumbs Up

The MAFs can be cleaned by just removing the air box cover and the 2 pipes to the inlet manifold.

Then the mafs are easily accessed within the air box cover molding. RRS gone
