They did offer to fly me down and back but the train fitted better with my plans for the rest of the week. I needed my car to be in Dunbar as I’m heading to London after the event on business and then get the train back up from Kings Cross.

I have always had a love of flying and aviation in general but I HATE airports. All the security crap and taking belts off, shoes off, laptops out of bags etc drives me nuts. I now find myself using the train more and more. I’m typing this in First Class in a comfy seat with wifi. I will get much more work done on the journey down than I would faffing around at Edinburgh Airport.

The dashcam failed

User error I am afraid. I should have listened to the LRE lady who said "Are you sure that cameras working". Therefore all the shots are from the handheld camera with me in the rear seats and you driving.
