If you can get a sworn statement from the previous owner then it might be worth mentioning to LR that you're considering a claim against them through the courts. Along with as much publicity as you can muster. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Probably like Dan said I cannot see a Land Rover dealer would ever doing a cheap fix as they never pick up the bill Land Rover does.

my only thoughts are that this may have been possibly remapped, and could of been one of the first to be remapped by a tuning company and therefore they have had to open it up to find the protocol to allow access to the ECU.

Jjf - I would get trading standards involved - you have done nothing wrong and now have a vehicle needing repair with invalidated warranty and will probably be unable to extend the warranty now as they can use the tampered excuse every time you claim

I wouldn't be too sceptical, they have replaced the ECU so the car is now standard with a factory issued sealed box so can't use that excuse again. Am glad someone had their sensible head on at LR and you have the issue sorted. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀 TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!! Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈 Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱 Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜 |
