Not sure where I stand on that to be honest. It's arguable that the car wasn't fit for purpose, but I'm waiting for LR to come back to me with what the problem is before I contact the dealer I bought it from. |

Depending on what yarn they spin you as whether you can reject the car. Lemon laws give them three strikes then you have grounds to reject it. As is, unless the gearbox has split in two, they just have to fix it and return it. It is unusual for a ZF box to dump its guts and more likely to be a cooler or associated pipework.

That's the problem. They're just so good when they're going well that you keep saying to yourself "I'll sell it next time" and next time you give it another chance... If it was a Ford you'd dump it without a second thought! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

I completely feel for you. i had a similar experience on the day mine was delivered- failed battery on first drive and at the time I didn't care if I never saw it again.

A battery you can forgive, cars sat in sales yards often suffer, but this failure does seem major 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Just picked the car up from LR. It was an oil pipe that had been rubbing against a bracket, eventually wearing through and causing the leak. Once the level was detected as low it triggered the sensor. They've given it an all over check and said its in good shape other than rear tyres are down to barely legal on the shoulders.

I would reject the vehicle as you have only just bought it and buy another sport - no point chancing problems in the future with engine having lost oil particularly when you read other members tales of woe |
