United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Lux Stornoway Grey
Ive found some new lights....

So I've had my RRS for two days now and i have finally found out what I thought was me hallucinating, or so my wife thought. Last night I was driving home and i noticed a flash of light on my left hand side. So I said to her in the passenger seat "i keep seeing this flash of light when I slow down" she says "your imagine it" so I say " well I could have sworn it was a light" So tonight I take her uncle home and again I see this light, now its getting to me so I pull over and have a look. Nothing!! scratching my head i get back in and off I go again, time to take a left turn, there it is again! I play with the indicator and it goes off and on again. Now im really confused think Its a bad earth or something, put it in park to go and have a look and its gone. Back into drive and there it is again. So this time I leave it in drive with the EHB on and have a look. Bingo I have lights that light up the curb...... Embarassed

How come i've never come across this before?? there's no mention of it in the spec and I take it they have all got it so why is there never any mention of them?? Question MY 11 RRS Luxury Stornoway Grey Ivory/Black leather contrast stitching Logic7 side steps roof DVD system for the grand daughter. Mercedes SL500 for the summer. Vito Sport X for work. They are called the cornering lamps and come on with the indicators at low speed if the headlamps are on. At least until MY09 they are clearly mentioned in the handbook.

Did the same as you Surge, and wondered what they were.
Great feature none the less, they throw a nice wide beam out showing kerbs, potholes etc Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Theyre called active lights and I love them. It would be a shame if I ever had a car without them now. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

Haha! I did exactly the same when I first got the car. I read the manual from cover to cover and I still didn't pick up on the fact it had active cornering lights. They don't come on if you go over 30mph and because you're usually driving round a corner when they do come on you start doubting your sanity Laughing

They're handy for lighting up hot chicks as you drive past Laughing Want to do a DIY job on your car? Check out the definitive 'how to' thread in the technical section Thumbs Up
