Rear Passenger side footwell heating duct

Hi all

I have an odd question.

Underneath the passenger seat there is an air duct. About 10mm high by 200mm wide split into two sections.

Here's my problem.

My wife's ring fell on the floor and went in to the entrance of the heating duct.

I tried to get it out but ending up pushing it further it. Now I can't see it at all.

My question is, how do I get to the other end of that heating duct to try and receive the ring?

Looking from behind the driver seat forward it looks like the duct goes down under the front passenger floor.

It's hard to see under the passenger seat because of the DVD for the sat nav.

Any tips on how to get this duct apart would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Perhaps you could use a vacuum cleaner to suck it out? Malaysia Boleh!

Hi thanks for your reply.

The ring has just dropped down the bit where it slopes down for the first time.

This drop is roughly located at the front of the passenger seat.

Do you know if the floor comes up here?

A vacuum won't work as the duct is too marrow for any of the attachments. If they did for I doubt it would suck up a ring.

any other suggestions?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Spain

You could try a metal coat hanger or length of welding rod with some gaffer tape on the end. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
