2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red
Hello everyone

Just thought I'd say hi properly. Been hanging around for a couple of months, well since I bought my RRS. Been wanting one for a very long time and I'm loving the car. I'll tell you what though, if I would have read this forum before I bought it, I think it would have scared me off.

Are the cars really that unreliable? Some horror threads on here about new cars never mind ones which are 5 years old like mine! Shocked I'm usually in BM's and Audi's and have never had any problems at all but now I'm terrified! Laughing

Please put my mind at rest with some good stories please! Rolling with laughter

Great forum for information btw! Thumbs Up

England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Alaska White

Hi, I have had many cars and I must say I had more probs with an Audi A4 cab 3L Multitronic from new, new gearbox reqd, Porsche 2cs new rad, clutch after 9k engine leak and exhaust probs. 7 RR sports only prob is knocking on front on three of them and a drivers side window motor Very Happy could be the way you treat it Whistle as an ex engineer I treat cars with respect and always listen to how the car sounds. Keep it well maintained Thumbs Up RANGE ROVER SPORT 2008

Welcome ASKOP3 Thumbs Up

The Sport is a great car. I've had 2 and yes, they can have some issues, but most are pretty reliable. The problem is that faults, when they do occur, can be expensive... especially if you use a main dealer for repairs.
My advice on a car of the age you've got would be to see if you can get a 3rd party warranty on it. My dad uses
Warranty direct for his 2003 Fullfat RR and last year had the entire gearbox rebuilt! Didn't cost him a penny... well worth it if you can afford it. I was quoted around £700 for a year on my 2010 RRS, not sure if yours would be more or not due to age. Worth a look though. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby)

GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010)
GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007)
GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black

Hi Endjin,

I've got a warranty with Warranty Wise for about the same price. Hopefully I won't need it.....for a while anyway. Wink

My car was a dealership car for Shields up in Scotland so I'm hoping it was looked after properly by them.

Cracking car though and much better than the D2 I had years back.
