Best Cheap Mods for the RRS HST!

What have you guys done to your RRS'S to make them look better. Some Cheap Mods?

I'm thinking of the following!

- Tinting the rear windows (about medium shade)
- Refurbing the rims as theres few marks, may change colour but not sure if will go well
- Back number plates are normal rectangle ones, i feel like changing these to the shaped ones like these http://angelplates.net/range-rover-sport-show-plates/ so it gives that factory look
- A friend of mines fits screens into headrests so may get that done.
- Modifiying the headlights to put some DRL's in there (ive heard this is possible, can it be done?)

Whats your say. All this shouldn;t cost much and what have you guys done/would do to a pretty standard HST RRS

Cheers

Tinting - I'm a fan, mine came with factory spec tints - go for it Thumbs Up

Refurbing wheels - always worthwhile, will make the car look nice Thumbs Up

Rear Plate - should be an oversized RECTANGULAR plate - you don't own a Rover 74, so no need for the silly shaped plate Whistle Wink

Screens - there's lots of info on here about video interfaces and rear screens etc. Have you thought about Ipads and fixing though ?

DRL's - some have done them, check out a thread by 'awd man' on here where he has a pretty detailed walk through. Thumbs Up

Other ideas:
You could upgrade the interior lights to LED's plenty of threads on there - very cheap mod
Clear side repeaters
Colour coding lower plastic sills
Facelift rear lights

I'm sure others will recommend some other things, but bear in mind if you do all of these, you'll look like 'just another RRS' Wink ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring
GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it Banging Head )
GONE: BMW F10 520D MSport - Carbon Black
GONE:MY12 RRS SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ivory/Grand Black Privacy glass

I like the idea of facelift rear lights and side repeaters. How much should you pay for the rear lights?

Check out this thread on the rear lights. I think a chap (sparky.....) was looking at supplying them Confused

Repeaters will be less than £30, lights will be a fair bit more though. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Sorry, cant help with the rear lights as the chap I was going to get them off was a timewaster and never answered the phone all weekend when I was supposed to collect them.

I can help you with the front lights though, check out http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic29640.html

I will check on ebay see if theres any going. to add to the cheap mod list i might give it in for a buff at me local bodyshop. Did it to a golf gti i had, it really helps the paintwork.

I agree, the custom Range Rover Sport number plates that http://angelplates.net/ offer are a good cheap mod, also great if your need replacement number plates that are model specific to the Range Rover you have.
