Sounds like a very good price. I was charged £540 last summer for a 60k mile service by local franchised dealer Stu

they called me today and advised that the tensioner had tou much play in it (i thought they would change that with the belt change). They said its not part of the belt change, so whilst the belts are off, thought may as well have them changed.... so they charge additional £80 ??? is that the right price for the tensioner ? thanks |

They called me during the day to say my range rover was in a very dangerous state and advised to have a few parts replaced. I said to them, i wont have any other repair done to the vehicle as it passed its MOT only few weeks ago, so why in so dangerous state ?? Overall the costs came to £650 This was major service at 105k with all the belts changed including the pulley. They also tested other parts of the vehicle and advised of any faults which i can take to my own garage and sort out. I wanted the Land Rover stamp in the service book as the car is going for a wide arch conversion in few days with Hamann wide arch kit, so had to make sure its running right before spending money on the conversion. |

I sounds like you still got a very good deal for the 105k service, especially with a LR stamp.

The tensioner for both cambelts come in the belt kits. I don't understand why they would have charged you extra for a part that comes in the box |
