Seems I must choose between Blackvue and Pre-Heater!

My pre-heater was not working, it has been repaired, I used it for the first time this morning and the car battery was dead when I came to start engine!

Apparently this is the fault of the blackvue, although the black vue has one of those battery cut off devices to stop it drawing too much power.

The blackvue has been fine for 3 months or so until I used the pre-heater.......

Any ideas?

maybe the blackvue is set too sensitive and recording all night instead on going in the standby, maybe try lowering the settings

also check out the blackvue info on disco3, Wiggs and other users have a fair bit of experiance with what firmware works and doesn't, im sure they have solved this issue

I have the battery saver and RRS always starts but on cold mornings when heated screens and pre heater on the blackvue keeps shutting down and restarting until I knock off the heated screens Evil or Very Mad

Presume the load is knocking battery below 11.8v and shutting down bv - anyone else got this problem or is my battery on the way out Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
