Ady, if everyone had winter tyres fitted then there would be a lot less chances of that jam happening in the first place. People driving around on low profile summer tyres are what causes the problem because they can't move in heavy snow. As the chap says in the video, some people have tried to move and just slid sideays in to other vehicles - they probably wouldn't have done that with winter tyres on.

Totally agree, the police would prefer everyone to be stuck rather than one or smart arses being able to continue their journey. |
