Thanks, so if the Glow plugs were tested when it wasnt below zero, would they show all working ok???.........TT |

best way to test this is to turn on the ignition, wait for the glow plug light to go out, then immediatly turn off the ignition and back on again...wait for the glow plug to go out again then turn it over. RRS gone

Yeah I do that, but its not any better then after about 30 seconds it starts and then is fine ??? ...TT |

Ok Ill look into that. The main reason I ask because Ive been told it maybe Glow plugs and if it is it will be £2500!!!!!! because you cant get the things out without drilling etc etc, and if it comes to that I just cannot afford it and it will have to go, which breaks my heart!!................TT |

It may have a leaking injector leading to low pressure, you can have a leak test done which will highlight this problem. If so it will be a new injector. You need to get it done if you don't it could fail completely and leave you stranded. |

timmy, re the glowplugs, yes they can be incredibly stuck, but doused for several days before with plusgas or similar and then removed with the correct LR tool which stops any twisting, they should come out fine.

Ok another thing to look at, It was an independent 4x4 specialist who said definitely glow plugs and £2500 to exchange them..............TT |
