You may find that you battery terminals arn't as tight as they should be, quite a few sports came out of the factory with loose battery terminals on the 2011 model. Might be worth checking. |

And good evening to you Ady. Normally I would but after just paying 44k for a car I'm if I'm going to start tinkering with it. I don't even know where the battery is on the dam thing Thanks for the quick reply mate, personally I think it may have a dodgy cell on it. My Merc has two battery's one for the ancillaries and one for starting. I can't believe at this level you can be stuck with a flat battery MY 11 RRS Luxury Stornoway Grey Ivory/Black leather contrast stitching Logic7 side steps roof DVD system for the grand daughter. Mercedes SL500 for the summer. Vito Sport X for work. Gone to many to list but what larks |

Well we're back on line what a palaver that was. Now tell me if I'm talking here but ignition on for 10 minutes without engine running shouldn't flatten your battery should it:?: MY 11 RRS Luxury Stornoway Grey Ivory/Black leather contrast stitching Logic7 side steps roof DVD system for the grand daughter. It shouldn't kill it 10 minutes, no. Sounds like a duff battery.

My point exactly apparently the battery is fine according to the AA mans box of tricks and the alternator is charging as it should. That's the beauty of the Merc system, if you run it flat you still have the other battery to start it. Bet my neighbours are having a laugh, new motor and playing up already. I wouldn't rely on the AA's diagnosis.
