^^^ This - or get some Finish Kare 1000P. Give them a thorough clean, then apply and watch the dirt/brake dust just fly off with little more than a pressure washer and a regular car shampoo solution Thumbs Up .......or a puddle in awd's case Laughing ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

The last two post are what im saying - its the same with autoglym, lifeshine products.

Use the wheel cleaner to get them properly clean, seal them then every time you clean just top up the sealer and done.

As for the product...wheel sealer will be the clue on the can! Mike

Gtechniq's C5 or FK1000P are light years ahead of the Autoglym 'sealer' products IMHO
If the OP already has the products then fine, but i wouldn't advocate buying them over the two products above Wink ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I disagree - Having used Autoglym products for 7 years now, they are not only adequate for the job - but perform exactly as you want.

I would firmly advocate them, other than the provision for allegedly 1yr + "protection" on the c5 (although autoglym have a longer life than I observe) i couldnt see how they are any better, or worse...equally you cant nip down and pick it up from the local shop.

They are also double the price I pay...that at least 1 negative point Mike

Autoglym have some fantastic products in their range - SRP being one of the shining stars Thumbs Up , ......but their sealants really aren't in the same league - regardless of the cost differential. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

Thanks everyone, pads are getting changed Monday, I have had them checked and they were very poor, why would someone do that to such a car just to save £30 or so?
Hopefully problem solved.

Anyway just been and looked at a 2008 V8 3.6 that I seen advertised whilst at the Land Rover garage so it may be fate that the old 2005 V6 2.7 has to go but at least with a good set of new pads. Spud Smile

Netherlands 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

Had carbon pads on my Saab Aero and now on the Ford Fiesta of my girl.
Wheels never ever got dirty.
Perhaps also a good option for the RRS?

About the Range: i only use power wash since i've got the car and the paint looks like new.
Since it such an easy and quick way to wash the car, i try to do it every week.
Afterwards the wheels are completely clean, without even touching them! Cool SW

Sometimes it is not enough to do our best;
sometimes we must do what is required.

I find as long as the wheels have been cleaned/polished/sealed/waxed then all I have to use is autoglym car shampoo and rinse.
just make sure you never use wonder wheels!

To back up Beancounters previous post.............Finish Kare 1000p (FK1000p) High-temp sealant is truly an amazing product. Been using it on my wheels and paintwork as well because the shine and protection is amazing.

Lasts much longer than many designer waxes that cost several times as much.
I think it was initially formulated for marine and aircraft use by a German company.

It outlasts by far many of the far more expensive products I have used (including Autoglym) and at around £20, for a very large tin the value is excellent. I was always a wax man but after reading about FK1000p I gave it a try and have practically given up on the waxes.

There are many posts on the detailing forums about it. 12MY RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux Sumatra / Black + contrast/ Grand Black
