My comment was in response to this quote Oldcro ![]()
So many 3.0 TDV6 owners are saying the new V6 is just as rapid as the TDV8, and now we have someone saying the 4.4 is in a different league to the 3.0L. However, my personal experience is that there wasn't much between the 3.6 TDV8 and the 4.4 TDV8 Saying that my TDV8 is mapped, so that might be the answer. RRS gone Audi SQ5...Gone Audi Q7 S-Line 240 3.0TDI Gone Audi A6 Allroad Sport 270 3.0TDI |

I keep toying with getting a BAS map for mine. Going to get the gearbox flushed first though as it's a bit "lumpy". Hopefully it'll feel better then and I might go for the map... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Don't care what they look like from the outside - when I'm driving it I can't see it and I don't sit at home looking out of the window at it either. I don't buy cars for what other people think they look like but 377bhp/627lbft, 5.7s 0-62, 34mpg all sounds pretty tasty to me. ![]() One of the best driving cars I've owned - 309 GTi - was generally considered ugly but was a fab car to drive. As for "character", that used to be a euphemism for "unreliable" when I was a lad...the RRS certainly has "character" just like Alfas did, along with just about every British sports car! ![]() 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Imagine how the new 300kg lighter RRS with the 4.4 SDV8 will go. I cannot wait. |
