You've driven the new (2014MY) RRS? I suspect you mean you've driven the new FFRR. I must say I liked the look of the new FFRR from various internet pics and videos, but after seeing the first few on the road I think they look a bit dull and lacking in character. I can imagine it is a peach to drive though.

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HST Java Black

Ive just changed over from a MY05 4.4 V8 Vogue FFRR to a MY09 RRS SC HST

I loved the FFRR, it suited my use of the car, and budget allowing I probably would have just got another a couple of years old, with the 5.0 V8 engine

however, im doing more miles these days and had a set budget to play with. I just wanted the newest, lowest mileage car i could get for my budget so thought I would give the RRS a try as you just get more car for your money

They are quite different cars to drive, each with their own appeal, after 1000 miles Ive been playing "spot the difference" with myself Smile

Plus points on the RRS: handles more like a car, performance (naturally with SC V8 vs old 4.4)

Plus points on the FFRR: its the next level up in luxury cabin, the best seats, space up front, rear, everywhere really, heated wheel, split tailgate seat very useful

Of course the selling point of the RRS IS the on driving experience and I do think it offers the best on road driving experience of the RR product range

Last year I drove them all off road up at Coniston on a Land Rover training day, and all models are truly capable, even the Evoque which lacks air suspension. Any LR product excels here, which is great if you do need it (I live in the country, on hilly farm road and tow sometimes)

Now if they could combine the on road driving experience of a RRS with the luxury car experience of the FFRR that would be the one to have .....I havnt driven the very latest FFRR yet, but its supposed to do that ...after 3 years of savage depreciation a 5.0 FFRR will be in my grasp so will give one a try then ....until then I will enjoy the RRS Smile cheers
