United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

All of this having a go at BKHK is laughable. The guy has a contrary opinion - forcibly put, yes - and he's called a troll etc.

As it happens, I agree with him. This is a waste of money in extremely questionable taste.

But hey, it's your money to waste and so long as your good lady is happy with you spending it and is happy driving the result then great. Me? I'd much rather have it in original form but then I'm a "form follows function" kind of guy rather than "gangsta cool" (or whatever the look you're going for is called).

Anyway, enjoy your "creation"... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Agreed.

As I clearly said, I welcome comments bad or good, the world would be very boring if we all liked the same things.

The part I didn't appreciate was the non relevant non factual comments.

I am only 32 and a complete car nut, Ive worked hard all my life and as a result am lucky to have a well paid job, an amazing little 18 month old girl, newly wed wife, oh and a shoe box house. I don't drink (much), i don't gamble, i dont smoke, cars are only vice of which I get great satisfaction. I've been lucky enough to own some cars I only dreamt I would, this range rover being one of them and so far enjoyed every moment of it and personally think it looks stunning.

I thought most people on here would agree seen as though all parts other than the wheels are land rover plus no cheap tacky chrome and bonnet stripes like most I see, but hey I'm love it so I suppose that's all that matters.

I'll keep up you up to date though with any further wasted and tasteless degrades to the "creation".

Drew

SPX....love it! "Live in the glorious UK", I can do that anytime since I hold dual citizenship. However, I choose not to live there by choice.

Thank you all for the "Troll" moniker, it is something I will truly wear with honour, especially since I have been a member on this site since 2008 and have had 2x RRS, one of which was problematical and was replaced by LR after 7 months and one which was great but coming close to warranty end, so had to go.

Drew, classic line about going offroad, in the X5! Luckily, even here in the outback where it is full of convicts and 4p houses, we also have roads and even electricity. But if needed, I think that my X5 would be no worse off than your lowered, shovel bumpered, 22inch wheel equipped gangsta "creation" worth 16995 (in your dreams).

RRSTDV8, I am glad that I am not alone!

So Drew, what have you got planned next?

A few of us have changed the interior bulbs, number plate bulbs and front sidelights to LEDs.

Nice cheap mod and makes all the difference. You'll need

4x T5 LED bulbs (for sun visors) and 17 W5W (4x doors, 2x footwell, 1x glovebox, 1x boot, 3x map lights, 2x rear map lights 2x number plate lights and 2x front sidelights. If you have puddle lights under your mirrors then you'll need 2 more W5Ws but this won't be a problem as they tend to come in packs of 10 Thumbs Up

Lets not turn this into TonyTippiGate! I am thinking BKHK has had a bad day at the office when commenting, as by and large in the 3 years I have been on this forum his comments have been sensible and helpful! Saying that, the comments about wealth were a bit crass, on the other hand they were his honest opinions on Drews car, personally I don't like the slammed look.
I have lived all over Europe , and keep coming back to the country I like best, where a baronial mansion costs £50 and a brace of sheep. The water is free and all the troublemakers we exported to Aus! Laughing

Cod and RRSTDV8 Thumbs Up

I don't think I ever said I was wealthy, I wish I was! Comfortable (ish) maybe, depends on your measuring stick. There are those who have implied that my measuring stick is somehow lacking! SP (remember him?) may have been rich but I am certainly not.

My reference to a "shoe box" was originally intended to be slightly humorous, doesn't anyone remember Monty Python sketch? It was obviously lost on everyone, perhaps its not politically correct, or no one can laugh at themselves anymore or it is too close to the truth to be funny.

SPX, got it and enjoyed it!

KAV, car looks good with those sensible mods. Just the way LR intended it to look. Its also very clean which I always like as I am a clean freak.

Drew, if you don't live there I am not quite sure why you would take pictures of your car on a council estate? Perhaps you were just cruisin' in da 'hood while doin' some deals?

BKHK, so your 1st insult to what you believe to be my family home that I have worked very hard for was meant as joke? Ok well you must be funnys cousin....not funny!

So after I refrained from rising to your bate and said specifically in return that I did not appreciate unrelated or in factual comments that did not relate to my car, you then proceed to say I live in council estate and call me a drug dealer?

Wow, what a nice individual you are!

I have been on several car forums for years and have never come across a user who attempts to personally attack another just because they don't approve of some upgrades carried out to there own car. So let me thank you personally for making my 3 days on this forum so special.

I shall delete this thread and my account later today, well that's if I can afford the electricity in my council shoe box house after I finished snorting my own stash.

Drew

Wow.

How about chilling out and not worrying too much about what other people say on a forum? You could just, perhaps, ignore him if you don't like what he writes... Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Drew,

Rise above it and ignore him,

I've only been on this forum a short while myself and this is defiantly not the normal behaviour, everyone here that I've conversed with has been extremely helpfull & friendly and I think you two have just rubbed each other up the wrong way with a bit of banter that seems to have turned sour.

Stick with the forum and I'm sure you will enjoy it Thumbs Up
