drdelrrs - Why not just take the full refund and go to another dealership? I can't really understand why you would still want to purchase a vehicle from a place that you believe is selling dodgy motors?

Give Marshalls a shout over in Bedford. Good service, on the level, but not as good with the deals as Stratstones in Newport.

Jim

Range 17 - I bought my RRS through them last March, and have to say that I received both fantastic customer service and the best deal offered by any of the other LR dealers in the surrounding area.

My car is due for its first service in March 2013, so I'll let you know how it goes.

Surely trading standards should be notified. They can decide on a course of action if there is wrongdoing. Why should people get away with this behaviour. Most people work very hard to afford a decent car, and we should not be screwed over by some unethical liers who want to make some easy money. Hmm, surely this doesn't happen in the motor trade Whistle
