Doesn't answer your question but, I seriously believe there ARE some dodgy LR dealers out there, I've seen it myself, and thought this, I'm out o' here ....I think, just get your full refund and walk away, avoid this dealer at all costs.Whether you want to grass them up afterwards ? well that is up to you. I know I'd be thinking it was a lucky escape........phew! RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i |

Might be worth giving us the heads up so we can avoid the dealer, what does the name rhyme with ? |

Having previously worked in the workshop, in a franchised LR dealer in the past, I could tell you some horror stories about "FSH" cars etc.

See if a friend can buy the car, well double check and if the service book is fabricated and inform JLR, but it maybe brushed under the carpet anyway as JLR won't want their image tarnished |

I pretty much agree with all that's been said and not sure I have the time to put into 'grassing' the dealer.

It is a big, murky hole when you start getting into naming and shaming. There was a whole thread on D3, about a dealer who charged a lot of money to replace some very expensive items, supposed to be under warranty, but then charged the customer, as the warranty would not pay out. The forum was threatened with legal action, as was the customer, unless the posts were removed... Not as simple as you think |

If you are factual you are doing nothing wrong...no point getting into that debate though Mike

It was factual. Everything was true, and factual, with documentation to back it all up, and yet legal action was still threatened... |

Not going to get into the 'naming and shaming' to avoid any blow-back on the Forum.

Range 17 - I bought my RRS through them last March, and have to say that I received both fantastic customer service and the best deal offered by any of the other LR dealers in the surrounding area.
