Yup, seems I was smoking something at the time we ran through that bit of HDC.

Sweden 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Snow... is not sumthing we want with heavy cars...

Tuesday morning at 05:20 I was sliding a little off the road after a little bend... AND... Pirelli M&S wasn't enuff... Had to be pulled up... So I have now ordered and fetched these which I hope will be handy next time I am in a rush to the airport...

http://www.thule.com/en/GB/Products/Snow-C...G_-_12-Pro

Supposedly.... suuuuupposedly easy to fit AFTER I have started a journey off road...

Lessons learnt this week regarding winter at 05:20 in the morning ;

- Put warm clothes in car. Business suit is not perfect for sub zero.
- Put real rubber boots in car. Snow tend to find it's way to colder and colder feets.
- Put a flashlight in car. Great to try to unloose bolts beneath RRS in complete darkness, covered with snow.
- Have shackle to simplify attaching wire or sling or whatever used by farmers to pull up car... No, I don't have a towing bar... yet,.
- Put snow chains in car... Not all mornings or dark nights are filled with Yr friendly farmer neighbour...

Video from monday;

(Funny thingie... In middle of video a Volvo is approaching with lights on... Personally I thought it easier to spot with DRL... Any other opinions?)

Ahh! One more thing... I hate snow... RRS 2010 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Technique is key...but gravity always wins

One thing with snow...abs and pulsating of the brakes can actually work against you...the build up of snow in front of the wheels can assist more than the brakes trying to keep you in control.

That said - any descent should start with first low with difflock if available (not in the rrs) - keep the car under control from the start dont let it get away from you Mike
