Have you tried giving it a good clean then oil/greasing the locking bolt ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Where is the locking bolt ? I can just see a square bar that goes into a hole !!!!! |

The locking actuators can be guilty for playing up. Reasonably cheap to replace, if not a bit fiddly |

I don't, no. They are not expensive, and take around 10-15 mins to fit if you have not done one before |
