Uo416 fault code

I've had a few problems with the suspension over the last few weeks and reading up on here I thought it could be a compressor, I've had the codes read and it's uo416. Big Cry They say its a problem with the adjustment switch in the car.
Sometimes on the motorway it will say suspension problem. Max speed 30mph and the car picture goes red
Every time I lower the car is goes into extended mode and raises right up.
Could the control module / switch in side cause this? I've not read much about these causing a problem.

U0416 is a comms failure. You need to check every other ECU on the car for fault codes, as this code is a "cascade" fault. I.E not the true issue Thumbs Up

You are looking for P codes or C codes

P140 is an EGR code IIRC. As yours is an 06my, it can be ignored

What were the fault descriptions for the 2 C codes in the suspension module?

C1A13 - Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery
C1A28 - Wrong number of LED's illuminated

Does that point towards a blocked dryer or somethign else? Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks for the replys guys. After Boysey fault coded it I had it done again to see what come up after it had been reset. That was the only code that come up but today I had it done with a auto logic system and it said that the suspension ride height sensors are out of sync.
O/s/f was 10 n/s/f was -4 o/s/r was -6 and n/s/r 3
So maybe the arms are sized up?

Also pressure loosing from vent gallery so maybe a blocked vent pipe off the compressor?

The egrs were both at 5.92 ish % when the engine was off and should be 5% so I'm hoping if I clean them up I shouldn't need to replace them. I don't really want to blank them off.
Hopefully that should stop the juddering and make the power smooth when I put my foot down as well.

Usually on the D3, C1A13 is a broken black/blue wire (or blue/black Embarassed ) in the wiring loom behind the n/s/f wheel arch. As the car in question is an 06MY, its a good place to start Thumbs Up
Could potentially be a blocked drier, or a sticky exhaust valve itself

I use an Autologic system daily, and the only fault I have seen that resembles what you decribe is a "cross articulation fault" Try a calibration first, if that doesnt work, then you need to start replacing height sensors. There is no way to determine which one is causing the issue. Start by removing the arms and see if they move smoothly, and freely. If they are tight, replace them. This could potentially lead onto having to repalce all 4 sensors.

If it is loosing pressure from the gallery, there is an air leak someplace. The air tank under the passenger side is becoming more common for leaking. scrape off all the loose rust around the front end of the tank, start the car, put it in off road height so the compressor fills the tank fully, and spray with soapy water. Any leaks should be evident by the bubbles appearing Thumbs Up

As for EGR's, I know you dont want to, but just blank them. Fit and forget. Causes no issues with the car whatsoever Thumbs Up

I'll replace all 4 height sensors, that was it elimates them then. I think they were only 25 quid each or something like that.
I'll check the loom and compressor tank as well. Thumbs Up

As for blanking the egrs off I was told it would make te car smoke bad. Is that right? I don't mind buying the egrs if its going to make the car drive more smoothly Confused

Blanking egrs is fine for yours Mitch. Thumbs Up

Will make it breath a bit better as it's not trying to burn part used air.
Any smoke increase will be negligible TBH. Bodsys Brake Bible

As Bodsy says, no issues wit hblanking EGR's. Have done hundreds of sets on 05/06MY's and never had an issue. Never noticed an increase in smoke either. It really is a win/win Thumbs Up

Ok I'll give it a go. It's only 20 odd quid for the kit anyway. Thumbs Up
