Also, is replacing the side lights easy or a knuckle stripper?

Thanks
Nik.

From what I've seen it's 4 push down clips to get the grill off then 2 clips you pull up per headlight, disconnect the main connection to headlight and you now have easy access to rear of headlight. 2.7 TDV6
22" Stormer alloys
Side steps
PS3
Headrest monitors
Black badges
Stainless tailpipes
Privacy glass
L.E.D. lights throughout.

How early is an early model?

Looking on fleebay the bulbs seem to vary quite a bit in price, are the cheap ones ok?

AFAIK they replace the side lights, wing mirror puddle lights, lower door card puddle lights, footwell, boot light and on earlier models they also replace the number plate lights. From another thread I've seen i think the later models have festoon bulbs but beancounter will be able to confirm.

Not sure about the map lights as i haven't got that far yet.

I'm not sure if/when it changed. Have a look on yours...you should be able to see the bulb from underneath. Taking the light unit out is easy too...just need a flat bladed screwdriver.

From a VERY quick look this morning, it would appear that the sun visor vanity mirrors are indeed 'festoon' style bulbs.

With the CANBUS LEDs...will I be able to tell if one stops working? Or will the resistors trick the car into thinking they're still ok even if they're not working?

PS I know what someone will say....I'll be able to see it....but will the car sense it?

Idea Take one of the bulbs out then switch your lights on. Thumbs Up Let us know if it comes up on the dash as a fault or not. Wink

Come to think of it it didn't come up with anything when I was testing the LEDs but thats why I thought the CANBUS was stopping the error from coming up.

At least the car lets you know when your brake light stops working....by cutting out on you Rolling with laughter

You actually need 13 bulbs for the interior if you intend changing them all, and that doesn't include the rear number plate lights so that is another 2 Thumbs Up Just for information if anyone else is thinking of getting some. Wink

Just a quick edit, this quantity doesn't include the vanity mirrors, not sure which bulbs are in them as i havn't looked. i may look tomorrow.
