Think bobby meant forward alert Smile

What I meant was that you either have ACC or just plain CC. The A is not just an add-on (or a stand alone) to the CC per se. It does not sound right if you say you need CC for ACC to work. Laughing

Then again, what do I know? Smile Malaysia Boleh!

Arrrrrrgghhh.

Just found out that the cruise control is not wroking at all. How that happened, I have no idea.

Anyone know of any good Land Rover technicians in the London area that may be able to sort this out or do I have to take the car to the main dealer to have the fault fixed...?

Not a good experience for my first Range Rover Big Cry

Heeeeeeelp meeeee. 2006 Range Rover Sport HSE 4.4

"It does not sound right if you say you need CC for ACC to work."

but you cannot have ACC without CC or am I missing something ?

If i say it slowly Adaptive Cruise Control, and If I move the words around I can read it as Cruise Control that is Adaptive.

So one would assume that the Cruise Control was being adapted, therefore the cruise control must be on..... Razz

I may be wrong, (I once thought I was but was mistaken)!

And as for forward alert on its own that's the dumbest thing ever, by the time you have figured out what the ding was you either stopped or everything went dark ! anyone using it must be mad, its like having parking sensors that work 30 foot out all the time Thumbs Up If you took some fog and put it in a jar, would it be missed.

Seen as uve been on the forum for a relatively short period of time u might not realise but Bobby is a RR Sport guru. Literally a fountain of knowledge.
I'm certain that he knows the difference and more than likely down to the component part numbers.

X5pea thanks for editing your post, the bit at the end condescending to both parties...

I really couldn't give a hoot if he designed it from the ground up (no offence Bobby, hopefully you can see were i am coming from Smile ), my responses have an element of humour, a bit of tongue in cheek ! and FACT

I also didn't realise that the length of time on the forum had any relevance to anything, my bad I have given my self 100 lines and detention..... Bow down If you took some fog and put it in a jar, would it be missed.

Gentlemen, sorry for causing all this! Smile

Since English is my first language and I have only spoken it for the past 60 odd years, I realise I cannot compete here. I will bow out of this thread. With apologies. Wink Malaysia Boleh!

Ok, so the car has been in with an authorised service centre. They discovered that there was a lose connection behind the steering wheel. Now they're having trouble re-calibrating the unit. The next step they're going to take is removing the front bumper to see if the unit is has somehow been knocked out of place. At the moment I have a yellow warning light symbolising a road with a car flashing on the dashboard...

Hopefully they can get this sorted. 2006 Range Rover Sport HSE 4.4
