looking at changing disco3 for rrs - what should i look for

i'm considering changing my d3 v8 for a 2007/8 rr sport tdv8. few questions:

- would you do it.
- what should i be looking out for in terms of possible problem areas. my d3 has been problem-free, except for services and brakes i only had to change the air suspension kompressor in the 5 years i have it.
- what are the differences on the suspension between the d3 and the rrsport, if any

thanks in advance

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Only major difference will be the dynamic anti roll bar included on the TDV8

These are expensive to replace and symptoms of a failing one is a heavy shudder through the steering wheel after a sharp left-right movement.

Other than that I think you will be pleasently surprised on the transition.

PS.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Orkney Grey

I changed my D3 for a V6 RRS last year and don't regret it at all.
On mine the suspension is a lot stiffer on the RRS compared to the Disco but that could partly be down to the wheel/tyre set up but I soon got used to it and as awd man says the boot space is pants along with the interior lights. 12MY RRS Orkney Grey HSE Lux

It really depends on what you currently use the Disco for, I went the other route going from a TDV8 sport to a 2.7D3.

First impressions were the Disco was a lot slower, you have a V8 so that difference will be a lot less.
Disco is a smoother ride but wallows more in bends, good or bad depending on how you attack corners.
Disco boot is far better than the sport, I may not use the third row of seats very often but they are handy when I do.
More people stare at you in the sport (mine was a HST so that might make a bit of a difference) which is good or bad depending if you like that sort of thing, as a result the sport felt a little more special but I quite like the low key feeling of being in the Disco.

Either way you will have a great car, perhaps it would be nice to own both but I'm not that rich.
