The dealer "cautioned" me on pulling a trailer that weighed the rated limit for the RRS. It was an implicit suggestion that it could take its toll over a period of time. |

but your not near the rated limit - I guess there is some logic to the dealers comments if you were actually pulling 3500Kg all the time |

3500Kg is not a problem for the car either, the weight you are talking about is not an issue. It will be slightly more bouncy than say the D3 because of the shorter wheel base, but the car is designed to tow such weights. |

As a rule of thumb, it's suggested that a "safe" towing limit is no more than 85% of the kerb weight of the towing vehicle. So, for a 2,500kg car, that would be 2125kg, or c4,675 lbs.
