Whirring Noise

I have a 2010 TDV8 which has developed a "whirring" noise at low speeds and when decelerating and coming to a rest. It sounds a bit like alternator noise in a stereo system. It is also present when doing low speed manouvering. It is not very loud but very annoying.

Any thoughts out there
