CD error

06 range rover sport supercharged 69,xxx miles

i'm having problems with the CD player, most of the time doesn't work i load the original disc and it's says invalid disc or a CD error. i tried to disconnect the battery and works fine for the first 4 tracks and then stops working again. no idea what it its?
i got the technical bulletin LS-415-002 and is no help i also have the ls-415-001 and it's says something about removing a integrated head unit transit bracket any idea where is this at?

thank you

Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hey there, I have a 56 tdv6 hse and have just replaced the stereo to solve the problem (£400 but its the newer model with the black facia) and I'm about to open up my old one an have a fiddle with it so will let you know how it goes

There is also an auction on eBay for repair of your stereo you can send it to this guy and he will fix the cd error for a cost of £249.99 which is why il try and fix my spare one now as if its possible then I might as well have a go first

I've stripped the spare stereo ( bit fiddly but nothing serious )
And the problem with mine is inside where the discs get transited to the CD player the lowest carrier had lost the very small guides which allow it to be lifted by the transit motor

If you send me your email address il email all the pictures to show you what I mean
