and while you're considering whether or not a TDV8 is a "real" V8, I guess you'll have to think whether a Sport is a "real" Range Rover too

Sport is a real range rover - because it always was designed as such (dont talk rubbish about the discovery or we will get technical)...unless your saying a disco, freelander arent real land rovers...only defenders of which only maybe only series, possibly not even 90's and 110s are real TDV8's are of course for the Scrooge - tight - wanabie real v8 owners...designed for the sort of people who are in denial about such things as hair line and age etc serving no real purpose in life, other than a negligible sound improvement (although nothing like the real v To be a real v8 it has to have petrol, natural sound and the ability to fit (or come with) a supercharger Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |

The SDV6 or remapped TDV6 is exactly what it says...but a v6 petrol isnt really an spot on a v8 anyway - and no one in the SDV6 pretends is anything more than an equal to the TDV8 - but better in ever money saving and environmental respect...treble win. Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |

complete madness no one in a TDV8 pretends it's anything other than what it is - the best diesel engine ever to grace the RRS. If I'd wanted the S/C and the 8mpg that my driving style would bring (TDV8 around town = 15mpg), I would have bought one. ============ 2010 TDV8 HSE - ooo laa laaaaaaaaa 2007 TDV8 HSE - superb car and very reliable ============ 2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8! |

I wasnt making a wealth point...funny how its the only thing the prehistoric, slow uneconomical TDV8 drivers pick up on its tight arse because the v8 5.0SC is better but people wont buy one because it costs a lot to run and devalues

Ive said before - i loved the 4SC and 5SC v8...i cant afford to run them fuel and mileage wise - I liked my free ones...plus running planes is also expensive and i would much rather waste money in aviation than on unleaded when the SDV6 does everything bloody well and has great mpg and meets all criteria and restrictions Mike

First off the the 2011MY didnt have the TDV8 but even if it did the TDV6 was at least equal to if not better than the TDV8 - again more economical etc the SDv6 is just an improvement to it.
