No auto shift up!

Tonight coming home, the gearbox failed to shift up in auto. However put in manual shift and it goes through the gears. I had all 4 tyres changed today, no wheel circumference difference just new rubber.

Their was a warning - Engine system fault and when I turned the ignition off, the engine kept going until I took my foot off the brake.

Any ideas?

It's a 2007 HSE. SDV6 HSE Sport2 - Santorini Black, Ebony Interior, Pano Roof, Things I haven't found yet!

It may have got upset about being jacked up? Neutral

Has it repeated the fault today? RRS gone

Yes, it still has the fault.

It's in being diagnosed at the moment! SDV6 HSE Sport2 - Santorini Black, Ebony Interior, Pano Roof, Things I haven't found yet!

Well here's the solution.

After it's MOT yesterday the garage had replaced a tail light bulb which when the headlights were turned on, caused an open circuit back to the ECU. This in turn took the surge in 'live' power to be an engine fault and shut down 13 modules. One being the transmission.

So, a faulty 89p bulb cost me the best part of a hundred quid to diagnose!

On the plus side, it could have been worse and blown the ECU to Censored , so I consider I got off quite lightly. SDV6 HSE Sport2 - Santorini Black, Ebony Interior, Pano Roof, Things I haven't found yet!

Can I please have a set of LED lights for Christmas, I've been a good boy all year, apart from running over that Plod.
