I dont think there are decent retail discounts especially at the minute - certainly no more than usual. Charging for mats is common - especially as there is demand for the car, certainly in some places there is less demand, but thats then different...in the midlands certainly there is a good demand
This is not strictly true First of all you make a common mistake between an accessory and a modification (a modification is something say to the engine (eg remap), suspension (eg raise or lower) or body (eg gulwing doors) etc - all examples there are more) Side steps are an accessory - now there is still a rule that the vehicle needs to be fit for purpose and meets needs you could reasonably expect of it - also there is another rule about servicing/warranty that gets you into the world of a patterned part being to the same spec as an OEM - they cant make you only buy their. Equally you can fit anything (if you were worried say only genuine parts/accessory to avoid arguments) at any point in or out of warranty - all that will happen is that part will only carry a 12 month warranty not 3 yrs Dont start me on explaining your corrosion warranty - but i wouldnt worry about that Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |

I would walk away from the entire deal and have a chat with James over at LPR.

Good point re: modification vs. accessory. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

au contraire , mate of mine just took delivery of a red edition 2 weeks ago and got a crazy discount on it. Demand always slows down when the cars go into in run out stages, Like every other manufacturer LR are starting to PIMP up the std models to muster up some interest before the new model is release. Prices are already starting to fall |

Im not sure that is true - demand is still up and there is still a long time before the replacement sport is due - its true its not exceeding demand like the evoke, but its not anywhere near the point of needing to shift cars What sort of percentage did he get? 10%? Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |
