There were some reasonable differences just between the 2010 and 2011 but slightly more significant differences between the 2011 and 2012 - making the gap between a 2010 TDV8 and a 2012MY (or even 2013MY) huge

I had similar reasoning to Beancounter. I'd driven a TDV8 as well as a MY11 RRS and decided that the V8 was a great engine but burned quite a lot more juice with no great increase in oomph, a conclusion firmed up when driving a MY13.

Mainly financial, its better if i change annually - partially whim (i actually was going to order a red and wait 6 months but i didnt need to) - partially because i liked the infotainment system - partially with a forward view to the future Im glad I did - I just wouldnt say that i was unhappy with the 11my which was a perfectly fine vehicle Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |

I changed form a MY08 to MY10 then to a MY12 - MY 12 is a 100% better car and a smoother drive the the previous - even if the range when completely full is only 360 mile ! (the 08 used to show 440 miles) |

On a recent 500 mile trip, I got around the low to mid 30's, not bad as we were 4 in the car and 4 bikes hanging off the back, with a fair amount of motorway driving (London to South Wales).

I'm getting around the same as Bc, which isn't bad for such a big motor, and i'm more than happy with that mine has clocked up approx 4k miles now and is feeling better as the miles clock up. |
