TDV6 of TDV8?

Hi,

I am in the market for my first RRS and I wanted to gauge your views on whether I should go for a low mileage TDV6 or maybe a more moderate mileage TDV8. It will be mainly the wife's school and work run, around 120 miles per week plus the occasional weekend break, budget is around 23k tops with no p/x. It needs to be black paint, black interior with a tow hitch if possible but happy to retro fit later. I am leaning towards a HSE spec that has been carefully looked after and with a Warranty.

One final thought, if I find a RRS that catches my eye, could I obtain a printout of its maintenance history from a LR main dealer to authenticate?

Thanks,

Welcome to the site Thumbs Up

Personally would rather choose a higher milage TDV8 as the engine is simply awesome. Theold TDV6 is a bit too week for the car considering its weight.

As to the service history, should be possile with the VIN No.

That's great, thank you. Is there a 'must have' factory option that I should be looking for?

I've read so many different specs out there.

Cheers

All depends on your desires - as an example I really like the fridge and sunroof but never used the TV. For a next car though will defo spec pre-heater. Look for a clean car with clean sound (no whistlling et al) when cold engine turned on - listen from outside. Also adviseable is to look for a car without DPF, which will only cause you troubble if car used on short distances...
