£500 doesn't sound like much of a claim to be honest. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

£146 for £2500 in labour/parts sounds ok, £500 a go should cover enough labour to get stuff done. If you took some fog and put it in a jar, would it be missed. |

Nice one Kensta most of the feedback I have read on them is positive not many negative at all. Would be nice if the offered an increased level of cover tho as I would probably go for it just for peace of mind to cover Gearbox....etc 2009 3.6 TDV8 HST |

If you take out the AA warranty, bare in mind you have to break down to be able to claim, you also have to pay £35 excess on every claim and they will only pay a maximum of £85 per hour labour rate including vat, so that rules out most main dealers read their t&c's carefully as with all warranties, i have the AA one for my wifes motor which is ok, but for a sport there isn't much that goes wrong under £500 |

Is there such a thing Over on the pikey site a lot of the guys are with warranty direct, and many have sworn by them, i took out a WD warranty for my previous sport, i took out their top warranty that covered just about everything except serviceable items which no warranty covers, but i also made sure i took out consequential damage, this makes a big difference between a valid claim or a get out clause by most warranty companies when you get a quote of them DO NOT take them up on their first offer, tell them you are ringing round to compare warranties, leave it a few days and the will be back intouch with you with a better offerand with added extras thrown in for free, another add on you will need is emmissions, to cover egr valves. I paid £650 for a 13 month warranty Fortunately i didn't need to make a claim so i can't comment on their claims procedure. Good luck, its a minefield out there, just pick the one that suites your need best. |

i have breakdown repair warrantry which i think is what you asking about.can claim upto £500 five times a year with £35 excess.when i bought my rrs last year i rang the aa to join and they talked me into having this which im glad i did as 4 weeks later my car started playing up a bit when cold.paid £95 to landrover for them to tell me a egr valve had gone down.rang aa and told them but they said i have to call them out first,so i did they came and told me the same and also if i had rang them first would of saved me my £95..!! had it replaced at £400 at notts landrover which i paid then they sent me back a cheque of £365 in 5 days.! but they wanted me to get both sides done but landrover notts talked them out of it saying it was ok,which would of ment a bill of £800 and i would only get back £465.!! then a month later other egr went down, rang aa which they confirmed and went in again and they paid up again.at this point i had only paid them £16.!! notts landrover changed prices around so they got the work as they normally charge £120 per hour which aa only go upto £85. yes if your engine or gearbox goes then this is not much help, but this dont happen a lot and you can go to smaller dealers as long as there v a t registered to have work done so it will cover most things. i would well recommend it.i pay £16 a month which includeds it and home start and recovery.WELL worth the money |

Mine's booked in for some work under warranty in a week's time. That would cost £1800 in total if not covered by the warranty.
