I have Warranty Direct after looking into them. Read the reviews on the net and spoke to my tried and tested garage. They said that Warranty Direct have tightened up their telephone dealings with the garages and you need to know what to say or the claims are more difficult to get authorised. Happy my garage know how to do this.

As for the AA the £500 is for claims related to breakdown/won't start etc. Is pretty cheap when attached to an AA policy so it's a matter of which breakdown provider you use once you're out of warranty.

It needs a new dynamic anti roll bar on the rear (nearly £1300) and a new starter motor (£500)

Note, these are failing items - not yet fully failed so some warranties wouldn't cover them until they actually failed.

The ARB is leaking and the starter motor is weak leading to slow starting.

Have you looked at Land Rover's Select Warranty? It's about £600pa but covers up to £3000 per claim and you have the benefit of just taking it to the dealer and they fix it using genuine LR parts.

To be honest, if you're worried about saving a couple of hundred on the cost of a warranty, the RRS might not be the car for you - these things tend to eat money when things go wrong... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
