United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

1: Driving position (the roof of its predecessor comes up to the bottom of the wing mirrors)
2: Interior design, ergonomics are fabulous.
3: The driving seat is Saab like in the comfort and support it provides.
4: I have always liked the exterior shape
5: Knowing it is the real thing off-road, I don't want to drive something that pretends to be something it is not. Graham

Pretty much sums up my reasoning! It's the sportiest 4x4 available that still has true offroad capability, so it was the perfect replacement from my BMW 330Ci and Range Rover Classic. Or it would be had I sold either of them, which I haven't. Arse. - Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE G4 Challenge vehicle (FOR SALE)
- BMW 330Ci M-Sport coupe
- Suzuki GSX-R750 K6 'Stealth' - trackdays and high speed tourer

similar to my situation:

Guy from LR was dropping off a new Defender in the work carpark, he reversed onto my Lotus Elise bonnet. LR gave me a new RRS for the 2-3 weeks it took to repair. 1 month later, the Lotus went up for sale and I bought my RRS! RRS HSE TDV6 Autobiography

Because I left the one brain cell I use on a daily basis asleep at home one weekend, and thus brought home something that needs more attention than a small child !

Because my GF told me that i looked rediculous in my Saab Aero Conv with my 1 meter 95.

So i went out to get i bigger car.

The RRS satisfied her... SW

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I've always lusted after one having driven one a couple of times - the feeling of presence, the view and comfort from the cockpit, its practicality and its off-road capability. However, my 220k mile XC70 was just as comfortable, practical, some off-road capability and 45mpg kind of meant I couldn't justify it to myself. Especially as the XC70 was such cheap/reliable motoring. Then I went to change the engine as the bores were worn and it was losing water bigtime, then that new one blew up as the old RICA remap didn't like the new clean inlet and overboosted, melting the pistons & destroying the turbo. Whilst waiting for a new bottom end to be grafted on, idly browsing autotrader one afternoon, came across a nice clean example, posted the link to my g/f and she said "When are you getting it?", so I did Very Happy

Delivered 1 week later...
