Some questions about my 2006 HSE

1. Just put my new 22" stormer on but after two balance the shake at 80-90 km/t is still there.. Any ideas??

2. When driving over smal bumps I can hear a metalsound coming from the rear left. What could that be??

3. My steering wheel still makes a sound when turning it left and right. Tried silicon spray but no use....

Rattle from rear left could be a broken up park brake shoe, I had this on mine it needed a new disc and shoes.

1: 22's are very hard to ballance, take them back to the tyre center (Kwik Fit took 3 goes in the end for me)

2: Look to see if the left rear harmonic damper is touching something when it swings?

3: Mine does it too... solution... turn radio on Mr. Green

EDIT:

Try getting the rears put on the front (garage probably tried this).. On replica alloys the build quality may be "less" than genuine alloys, so one of the alloys may have warping which the ballancer will not be able to weight up... RRS gone

+1 for swapping rears and front Smile

And also for getting them to have another go - potentially I would try a different tyre centre with a Hunter Hawke (or equivalent) and get the alignment done as well. I put up with it for 2 years Big Cry after having these done at a reputable place and the dealer investigating it to no avail. Took it to a different place and all sorted.

Hope you get the problems sorted Thumbs Up 2011 Autobiography Santorini Black
