How long have you had the RRS?

I've just sold my 911 after 4 years and went for the RR purely because I didn't get the chance to drive the 911 the way it should be driven. My average speed after 4 years was 14mph... That's depressing!

I passed my direct access bike test last year and have a 600cc Kawasaki ZX6R which satisfies my need for speed for the time being....

I don't think it's as much fun having a performance car nowadays, not unless you have a nice commute and work nights.

What the attraction the the vantage in particular? Can't you find something in between the 2?

Why not hire one for a weekend and see if you can live with one full time. Thumbs Up

I went the other way (from a XKR not an Aston) to the RRS.

Loved my XKR and although living in Surrey did get to enjoy that kick of 400hp almost every day - ok for very short bursts but that was enough to put a grin on my face.

Moved to the RRS as the boys aged 12 and 13 could no longer fit in the XKR with me. I would not have changed otherwise.

I chose a RRS as any other quality four door saloon just felt flat after the XKR (or had horrific depreciation) and the RRS was so completely different there was no comparison. I don't know if I will move back to a low slung, powerful, fabulous looking car when the boys are grown up and gone. I would miss, most of all, the driving position, the comfort and the space the RRS has.

Lovely decision to have to make - you do actually win either way Smile Good luck with your decision

The vantage will be useless in the snow, but you could just sit in the drive and rev it!, they sound amazing.

Dave - I would have thought there were plenty of b roads, especially in hants and wilts that would be perfect for a weekend blast; and then there are trackdays Very Happy
