Dealers and Floormats....??

What is it with dealers taking out mats before they sell a car. I've just picked up a TDV6 today and in the original pics it had mats and the rubber boot mat, today..... Nothing!! Shocked

Is there some kind of black market for mats that I dont know about or something? Very strange.

Anyway, anyone got a link for some decent mats..??

I could ask but I'm sure he'll just say they were lost at some point.

Where's good to pick up some new ones, don't fancy paying LR prices.

You think these will be half decent? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rover-Range-Sport-...amp;sr=8-5

Talking of floor mats - why are there "hooks" on the floor of my 2007 RRS yet the mats (which seem to be genuine LR) have no provision to connect 'to' the hooks?

You should learn the Columbo Close, just as you are halfway through signing the order just stop and check that the mats are included.
If they were in the car when you agreed to buy it you should have insisted on them being there on pick up.

The hooks go through corresponding holes in the correct mats. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

So it looks like I've got the wrong mats. It's proving difficult to identify the correct one's. Can anyone recommend a supplier please:

2007 TDV8 3.6 HSE Black (front) carpets (not rubber) with a 'hook' in the middle (towards the seat) of the floor.

Cheers.

@CycleSi

I bought the LR mats. Sure they're more expensive than the alternatives from ebay et al but they are decent quality and, crucially, they fit properly. Thumbs Up

Oops, just noticed you want carpet. Mine are rubber but I have no doubt the carpet ones would be as robust and be of as good quality as mine. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Totally agree with going back and asking for them, if it was me I would take the car back and complain then tell the manager you no longer want the car and hand him/her the keys then tell said manager your writing to trading standards/some legal ombudsman.

Then sit back as he fits new mats and offers you a free service or such like.

For me that's the same as the car having a different set of alloys on from when you viewed it till it was sold.
Dont let them away with it
