I hate to confuse things ... but I'm pretty sure I've seen them over Brembos before |

Hmmm, not as definitive as I'd like. Thanks to you both for the responses, ideally I'd like to get a go / no go on this as I like this style of wheel but don't want to waste time & cash on flea bay if the older 05 style options are the only alternative.

some 19s do fit and some don't - search for the thread that explains it (on some wheels a bit by the hub slants in and fouls the brakes)

Well having driven both over a decent period of time, I'm fairly sure I prefer the 19's. Interestingly my opinion (for what it is worth) is also shared by some of the Landie mags who also express frustration with the low profile of the 20 inch set up, so I'm not alone. I can honestly say the ride at low or motorway speeds with the 19's is much smoother than the 20's and I can't believe this is purely due to the continental tyres on my 20's as opposed to the pirellis and then generals on my previous vehicle.

A TDV8 on 19's is like your Mrs going out for a posh meal in trainers and sweatpants...just wrong...! RRS gone

I still don't understand what is uncomfortable about the ride on 20s!

The ride on 22s is fine so nothing wrong with 20s |

Perhaps these people have been brought up in old jags and ford zephyrs and are used to the bouncy ride |

Perhaps some of us are less interested in how the girl dresses and more how she goes... Back to looks, I think 55 profile on 19s looks better than 40 profile on 20s. Indeed, 255/55/19 gives you 35mm more overall diameter than 275/40/20. The Pirelli Scorpion ATRs I've just fitted to mine look great and the vehicle looks somewhat more masculine, IMHO, than it did with the 275/40/20 it came with last summer. Oh, and the increased sidewall gives a bit more protection to the rims for those who worry about such things. And one last plus for 19 inch rims is that it allows one to be a bit individual - every man and his dog has 20 or 22 inch rims on their Sports in order to look different. But they all end up looking the same. As one of the few people who seem to use the smaller wheel mine looks different because it is. People who think they know Sports also think that because it's got 19s on that it must be one of those wheezy 2.7 jobbies. So I get a bit of Q-car benefit on my TDV8 too. Everyone's a winner! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
