Body removal for 2005 range rover sport supercharged

Hi, Just wondering if any one could help me out, A friend of mine has done some serious damage to his superchrged engine in his range rover, now I hae managed to get hold of a secondhand engine complete.

Im just wondering if anyone would have any instructions or a manual on how to remove the body from the chassis, Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Phill

Do a search on the disco 3 site "body removal"
The disco boys are more into this DIY stuff, spending all day under the car instead of on top of Censored In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Welcome, Phill!
TOPIx is your friend. Out of interest, how did your friend knackered his engine? Or is that job #2 after the heart transplant?

Well he I a bit of an idiot if I'm honest, h managed to crash it in the snow into a metal bullard, this put a hole into the oil cooler in the bumper, then he decided to carry on driving to where he was going!.... Then tried to drive back home at which point the car decided it couldn't take any more and died directly outside buckingham palace, needless to say the police and national security guards were notto happy when he left it there!!!!

There is no I would take it to a dealer, I have been working on cars since I was a child and proffesionally for the past 14 years, I hear it is quite a simple Job but obviously it would be good Jay to have some idea before I start,

At least I nothing else you can have a laugh at the story above, if you heard the whols story you can't help but laugh.

If the damage related directly to an accident presumably his insurance company would cover the costs of any repairs and a new engine?

Well they would, but after getting quotes for the engine and the small amount of body work needed it worked out that they would write the car off ( mainly due to the cost of the engine and supercharger)
The body work damage isn't bad at all, he has only had the ar for a year and the pay out from the insurance company would have been no where near what he paid for the car.
PlUs I managed to get an extremely good deal on the engine.

Thanks for the full & frank on the engine failure; interested in the ones due to part failure, rather than those involving the nut behind the wheel. If you have a contact in a LR dealer, they should be able to print out the relevant pages, or else pay the daily access rate for TOPiX and roll it up in the bill.

You do not need to take the body off to remove the 2005 SC engine. Malaysia Boleh!

the sport was designed from the ground up, so that the body could be removed very easyily via 100 bolts, so unless you turn it upside down Whistle , i cant think of another way of getting it out 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

I am sorry I am not aware how the Sport was designed and you must excuse the way we do things in a third world country.

I was just trying to pass on genuine advice like THIS from LR. Malaysia Boleh!
