How to remove range rover sport body shell

Hi a week ago my tdv6 engine seized up due to oil pump fail Censored I've sourced another engine. Ive been told to fit it you will need to remove the body shell?

Is this true?

Is this a must or can you just get away with removing just the front end?

Also is there any one that can give me a step by step guide on how to remove the body shell?

Thanks a lot & looking forward to hearing your replies

I believe this is correct, at one point i thought i had a blown turbo which also required removal of the body shell. I'm sure someone posted either pics or a video up on here of 'how to' will have a good look. Otherwise pretty certain i found a video clip on YouTube.

Only garages with a 4 mount lift car remove the shell, which from memory counted out my 2 local Land Rover specialists.

Apparently is a fairly easy job, the land rover manual states 4 hours labour time, however I have heard of electrical issues post removal where moisture has managed to get into connectors and/or not correctly re-installed so worth picking carefully if out sourcing! Range Rover Sport HSE and for a bit of weekend fun a S1 Lotus Elise with a few track biased additions!

Blocked from YouTube at work (catching up on paperwork this weekend from the office) if you type in 'removing range rover sport body shell' a video should come up where they had to carry this out due to a blown turbo. Range Rover Sport HSE and for a bit of weekend fun a S1 Lotus Elise with a few track biased additions!
