Is the boot not opening because of the battery drain or because of the accident I'm sure the boot will need power from the battery to open the boot. There maybe a wire broke on one of the parking sensors |

Oh mate, thats really great help. I'll feed that info over to the body shop guys now and see if they can fix it instead of me messing taking it to the LR garage.

my boot actually stopped working entirely and I claimed under the LR warranty for a new one. There's something odd like a wire/circuit that runs through the tailgate glass? and a control junction box. ============

marc it will be you upper tailgate switch that is causing your battery drain if the switch is corroded this will drain your battery and stop your boot from opening |
