Floormats

I have some very nice floormats but the fittings that screw into the carpet to secure the mats are useless. I have already broken 2 of them and was wondering if anyone has any good ideas for replacements apart from buying some from RR at inflated prices. Confused 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I have the rubber mats and haven't bother with the fittings. They didn't look up to much, so didn't use them. The mats stay in place perfectly okay without them. Matt

I used the fixings on the front ones only as the rear ones seemed pointless, the mats are heavy enough to stay put.

With the front ones though the screw part that you put into the carpet is too long, which means you can't screw it completely in without it raising the carpet. Why didn't they build the fixings into the fabric already? That was more people would have been compelled to buy the mats to make use of them.

I ordered the carpet mats 2 weeks before my vehicle was delivered in the middle of August and finally collected them last Monday.

I've had a similar experience and broke 3 of the rear fittings before deciding that the mats stayed in place reasonably well on their own.

The front fittings seem okay, but I agree that it would be much better if they had been made as part of the carpet. RRS 2.7 TDV6 SE Cairns Blue/Alpaca Leather
