Thanks guys Thumbs Up

Have had a bit of a mare since yesterday Censored

One of the LED rings wasn't stuck on very well and as a result I've got to re-split that headlight to re-attach it... Censored

AND

Currently the other headlight LEDs are refusing to power up.... I'm hoping it's a connection issue with the last Y cable because it's both rings not just the one... so I've got some investigation work to do... Big Cry

Saying that the working side (with it's slipped led ring) looks great! Rolling with laughter RRS gone

That's a shame awd man, hopefully, it'll be a quick fix.

AWD, looks very nice!
Good job!

Question about the reassamblimg:
Reheating is just enough, or do you have to remove the old kit and apply new glue?
How do you manage the unit to be water tight again?

Thumbs Up SW

Sometimes it is not enough to do our best;
sometimes we must do what is required.

Re-heating is actually enough, the glue/mastic goes from solid to very sticky again quite happily, but on the lower edges I re-sealed with black sealant just as an extra Thumbs Up RRS gone

They are wired up as DRL's Thumbs Up

The kit comes with 2 trigger wires, relay & full loom.

They can be set up to come on with side lights, or as DRL's or even fade up and down with internal lights! RRS gone

Why would you do that though Confused
Wired as DRL's the way you've done is the best I'd say. Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Sorry..should have been clearer

They can be wired with the 2nd trigger, to fade up when you unlock the car (with the internal lights) and then stay on once the ignition is turned on (primary trigger)..then stay on after you've turned the engine off at your destination.. and fade down once you've exited the vehicle after locking (using the internal lights again)

Which is all pretty cool... but I wasn't going to let the electrician start running feeds from the internal light feed... so stuck with good old DRLs "on and off with the ignition" RRS gone

Ah, I understand now, thought you were implying you could have a mobile disco look with mood lighting Laughing

You could have got your spark to wire up courtesy lights in the back when he was in there though, given LR see no need for them and only think the ability to read maps/books is required Banging Head Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
