rs4 on pirellis did about 12k whch was a "well driven" 12k which i thought was not too bad to be fair |

As I understand it, this is a factor of the tyre's design. It has a shaped shoulder so that the shoulder has less apparent tread depth. As the requirement is for 1.6mm over the central 75% of the tread, this isn't a problem. Apparently it looks worn but, in effect, isn't. So Continental say, anyway. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
