Great tyres

Just thought I would share that after my service yesterday my 22" Toyo Proxes are "barely worn at all" according to dealer, after 15,500 miles I was mightly impressed......

What is the expected life span of a good set of tyres on a RRS?

Sounds like these could be good for 40K......

I've heard 30k+ so that's good to hear..

It's how the grip tails off that might be the telling factor over tread depth Wink RRS gone

Thats good to hear. my Audi used to munch a set every 8k-10k, so getting anything over 20k would be a massive improvement Cool ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Same here on my audi too, it use to love eating its front tyres, my scooby used to get through a set of four toyos in 8-10,000 miles my L200 i think was the best by far 47000 hard miles including two track days Shocked yes thats right track days as a guest and the tyres still had 50% tread left on them when i sold it. (bridgestone duelers) and it was still on the original brake discs and pads Thumbs Up Served me well did that truck. Laughing

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

thats pretty impressive mileage! my goodyears are a year old with about 12000 miles (mainly town/b road driving) and are nearly gubbed!

I am looking for a set of 22s next , i would probably get them with the proxys, as the last few cars i have found them to be pretty good roadholding wise, BUT i do like the smoothness of mine on 20s, can anyone tell me if there IS actually any difference between 20s and 22s from experience?
thanks
dave MY10 TDV6 SE (debadged Wink ), Santorini Black, Flappy paddles, Privacy Glass, 20" Stormers, Mudflaps!

Gone: a comprehensive list of imprezas and a Merc ML AMG

I was nearly scared off getting 22s on this RRS due to people saying ride would be much firmer (had 20s on my first RRS for 3 years).

IMO there is no real noticeable difference.

Went from 20 LR wheels to 22 Overfinch on Toyo Proxes

Netherlands 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

Before, i used a Ford Focus to cover only the airport runs.
Did 60k (sixty) miles with the GoodYear Eagles. Bow down
Normal to fast driving.

Replaced them only because the walls started to look a bit dried out.
The profiele was still wel above limits.

However, the Contis on the RRS are shot already. but only on the edges.... Big Cry

What is a good shop/internet site in the UK for good priced tyres?
I´ve got my own courier, who drops them off within 24 hrs at my door (Spain) for 100 euro.

Thanks

Thumbs Up SW

As VA says try the sponsor......am I right in thinking that tyres go quicker in hotter climates though? Might be a factor for your quick wear
