Iphone cradle?

Hi everyone, I was wondering how I go about installing an iPhone cradle in my RRS so that I can use the iPod feature via the steering shell buttons. I assumed I would have one as standard but obviously got it wrong Embarassed

I have the standard fridge under the centre storage lid where I assume the cradle would have been if I had one. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

Jimmy

I have done this and am already using it via bluetooth but you can't access the music or charge the phone this way via the steering wheel TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

Music is accessed via the AUX jack port in the center consol (you'll need an i-phone to jack plug cable)

Unfortunately you will still not be able to control the i-pod/phone via the stering wheel controls... this is only available on the post 2010 car iirc

Of course you can always buy the iPod interface that will enable the use of the steering wheel buttons etc. It will also charge the phone, keep blue tooth etc etc etc.....
Mount the Phone in the KUDA console mount and you'll have a really nice system. Ra-Ro Sport Super Dooper Charged.

I was facing the same issue as Beefbops so I used this interface and a KUDA mount to connect the iPhone to the audio unit and utterlise the steering wheel controls.

Ignore that price from the USA. I got mine from UK for about 240 pounds IIRC. Pictures of the KUDA Cradle and instalation are in my gallery.
Now I have full use of the phone via the steering wheel. The unit also charges the phone from the drop-in cradle and best of all the system looks like a factory fit. Ra-Ro Sport Super Dooper Charged.
