Penang go to batu feringgi. Night market therr worth a look at, god local food everywhere. Ppl always visit the snake temple in Penang but ive never been myself.

If you are into the outdoors a trip to east malaysia is well worth it. Fly to kota kinabalu, sabah. Some good scuba diving spots, climb the highest mountain in south east asia, white water rafting, nice beaches too and

Just found the e-mail from my work collegue who live out there, he recommended using www.citytrans.com.my His schedule is a bit 'whistle stop' for my liking! and sounds like not what you're after but may be able to offer a far more relaxed option? At MYR 50 an hour (£10) all in is a bit of a bargain!
